Who We Are
St. Teresa of Avila Girls Secondary School is owned and run by The Grail Sisters of Tanzania. The school opened its doors for the first batch of students on 5th January 2009. With this humble beginning and a school population of not more than sixty students, the pioneers worked very hard to ensure that all students excelled academically. True to their dream, in 2012, Necta results proved them right when all the students passed their examinations.

The school has maintained this tradition in its years of existence. Its long term goal is to be a center of academic excellence and an agent of change to the future of this young girls.

The grail sisters have a passion for the liberation of girl-child through provision of quality education, which will liberate these girls from poverty. Headquartered at Kisekibaha, Mwanga district, the sisters have done a lot in liberating many girls so far.

At grail, we help girls to be useful in their environment and contribute to the transformation of their community. With this in mind, we train and transforming young women to take leadership responsibilities at all levels. We cannot achieve this alone; we have a team of committed teachers who are partners and collaborators in accomplishing this great mission. We welcome all of you to be part of this broad vision for the future generation.
